The Hub Karen has crowned the winners of its festive season “Shop & Win” campaign, awarding a grand prize of KSh1 million and premium travel experiences in a colourful finale held at the mall.

The campaign, which ran through the December holiday season and closed on January 12, culminated in a draw supervised by the Betting Control and Licensing Board of Kenya (BCLB) on January 28.

Shoppers earned entries by making purchases at participating outlets within the mall, turning everyday transactions into opportunities to win high-value rewards.

Vennah Kwamboka emerged as the grand prize winner, taking home KSh1 million in what stands out as one of the largest shopper reward payouts by a retail mall this festive season.

The second prize went to Keziah Kogi, who won a fully sponsored trip to Cape Town, complete with return economy tickets provided by Kenya Airways and accommodation facilitated by the mall.

Benjamin Omolo secured third place, winning a two-night full-board weekend stay at the iconic Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.

Speaking during the announcement ceremony, Mall Manager Jacobus Visser said the campaign was part of a broader strategy to reward loyal customers while positioning the mall as more than just a retail space.

“The ‘Shop & Win’ campaign was created to celebrate our shoppers and reward their loyalty in a meaningful way. At The Hub Karen, we continue to evolve as more than just a shopping space, we are a lifestyle destination that brings together retail, leisure, travel and community experiences. Today’s announcement underscores that commitment.” Jacobus said.

The initiative was delivered through collaborations with key partners, including Kenya Airways, Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club and Standard Group, reflecting the growing importance of strategic alliances in enhancing consumer engagement within Kenya’s retail sector.

Julius Mokaya, Head of Partnerships at Standard Media Group, noted that the partnership helped extend the campaign’s visibility and impact.

“We are delighted to have partnered with The Hub Karen for the 2025 ‘Shop & Win’ campaign, playing a key role in building visibility for the initiative and amplifying it to a wider audience. Congratulations to all the winners.” Noted mokaya.

On her part, Kenya Airways’ Corporate Brand and Partnership Manager Cecilia Sagini said the airline viewed the collaboration as an opportunity to connect travel with memorable lifestyle experiences.

“At Kenya Airways, we remain committed to connecting Africa to the world and vice versa. Through this partnership, we are proud to extend that connection beyond travel into meaningful experiences. This ticket for two to Cape Town is more than just a trip; it is an opportunity to explore, connect, and create lasting memories.” Cecilia affirmed.
