Standard Chartered Kenya Pension Fund has announced the resumption of the verification exercise for 629 pension case appellants following a recent High Court ruling lifting an injunction that had paused the process.

According to a public notice issued by Chairman David Ong’olo, the ruling delivered by the High Court of Kenya on October 2, 2025, cleared the Fund to proceed with the verification of appellants under Retirement Benefits Appeals Tribunal (RBAT) Appeal No. 8 of 2021.

“Following the ruling issued by the High Court of Kenya at Nairobi on 2 October 2025, which lifted the temporary injunction restraining the Standard Chartered Kenya Pension Fund from executing the previous public notice, the Fund will now resume the verification exercise that had been paused,” Ong’olo stated.

The verification will take place at Almary Green Business Park, off U.S.I.U. Road, Nairobi, from October 6 to 9, and on October 13, 2025, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Ong’olo urged the appellants who have not yet appeared for verification to attend the exercise. “We are committed to ensuring a seamless verification process for the 629 appellants in RBAT Appeal No. 8 of 2021,” he said.
