A policeman who shot a judge today while the court was holding a trial was gunned down by other police officers.

The shocking incident occurred during the trial, causing panic and confusion in the courtroom. The gunman shot Judge Monica Kivuti in the thigh in front of Court No.9.
The magistrate had made ruling against his wife. The shooter was neutralized by his colleagues.
Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene and the injured judge was taken to a Nairobi hospital for treatment.
The shocking incident has left the Makadara court community in shock, underscoring the importance of security in maintaining the sanctity and safety of court proceedings.
According to police reports, the officer involved in the shooting is the Kisumu police commander . He went to Nairobi to follow on the case involving his wife.
The trial was held in a tent outside the courthouse. After the judge ruled, the officer went behind the tent and shot her as was stated by Nairobi police chief officer Adamson Bungei.
“Other officers present responded by shooting the officer, fatally injuring him,” Bungei added.
The area was cordoned off while an investigation into the incident began.
