Safaricom has unveiled its tech-driven experiential outlet at the BBS Mall in Eastleigh, Nairobi anchored on serving business and walk-in customers while offering digital experience.

The telco says the outlet is designed to provide a frictionless customer service experience, catering to over 500 customers daily through a variety of specialized zones.

Among the offerings are several dedicated areas, including a zone for M-PESA services, an Enterprise Zone for business clients, a Tech and Gaming Zone, a Customer Care aisle, and a Business Meeting Zone.

Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa emphasized that this venture aligns with Safaricom’s mission to become Africa’s leading purpose-led technology company, focusing on technology-first, customer-centric services.

“Part of our strategy is to cater to different customer segments at one touchpoint, offering integrated solutions. This space allows us to support super agents, resolve dealer issues, and provide essential services to walk-in customers,” he said.

The telco is keen to tap into Eastleight’s trade portfolio, following the unveiling of the BBS mall. The outlet will also avail Kenyan-assembled 4G phones and other locally sourced accessories.
