Golf: Highlights 2024 Patron’s Cup Success

Patrons Cup 2024, A three day Golf event hosted at Muthaiga gold club which saw 15 teams across Kenya participate in the most prestigious tournament has seen Muthaiga Golf Club victorios.

Ebil Omollo from Vetlab Sports Club, achieved a remarkable hole-in-one on the first day, securing an excavator valued at Ksh 16 million, sponsored by Pan African Equipment Group.

Muthaiga Golf Club emerged victorious in the fiercely contested Trophy Pool, leveraging their home-course advantage and their professional expertise, with Nyali Golf & Country Club finishing close behind.

Railways Golf Club claimed the Shield Pool title, Kiambu Golf Club triumphed in the Plaque Pool, and Thika Sports Club won the Bowl Pool.

The newly established Mug Pool, Eldoret Club clinched the top spot in an exciting finale. As teams prepare for the next edition, changes are on the horizon.

Vetlab Sports Club has been demoted to the Shield Pool, while Railways Golf Club has earned a promotion to the Trophy Pool.

Limuru Country Club has progressed from the Plaque Pool to the Shield Pool, joined by Kiambu Golf Club, which also moved up from Plaque.

Meanwhile, Royal Nairobi Golf Club has been demoted to the Bowl Pool, with Thika Sports Club advancing to the Plaque Pool.

Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club has dropped from the Bowl Pool to the Mug Pool, and Ruiru Sports Club has been relegated from the tournament altogether.

Dr. Wycliffe Kaisha, Tournament Director of the Patron’s Cup, expressed his pride in the competitive spirit displayed.

“The 2024 Patron’s Cup exceeded all expectations, with each team demonstrating remarkable talent and sportsmanship.” he said.
