Two of the three men who were abducted month ago in Kitengela have been found alive, Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo has confirmed.

The two Bob Langton brothers, Jamil Longton (42) and Aslam Longton (36), were found in Gachie on Friday morning.

“I am informed that Jamil Longton and his brother Aslam were dumped at the Gachie border of Kiambu and Nairobi by their captors. Every prayer and intervention made a difference. We thank God that they are safe!” LSK boss stated on X.

The two brothers were allegedly abducted last month by men in a Subaru vehicle in Kitengela, Kajiado County.

Reports indicated that the brothers went missing a few meters from their home.

The trio went missing in Kitengela on Monday, August 19, 2024, after being forcefully abducted by people alleged to be police officers.

Taken by masked men

During the incident, Njagi was forcibly taken by masked individuals from a Kitengela plying matatu he was travelling in and bundled in a Subaru by unknown people.

The latest development comes hours after the new Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja denied the allegations that the three men were abducted by the National Police.

Kanja said they are investigating the claims of abduction after the issue was reported.

Investigation underway

“You are aware that I have just taken over the office but what I have gotten from our officers is that we don’t have the Kitengela three with us. I know a report was made and we have got an active investigation,” Kanja said on Thursday.

DCI boss Amin too said they did not have the three men.

“We don’t support any form of abduction and for now we don’t have the three,” Amin said.

LSK in a case filed, demanded for the three to be produced by police believing the were abducted by security officers.
