Pilots Can Now Apply Licence Online Via eCitizen

Pilots can now apply for licenses online as Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) shifts personnel licensing to eCitizen for faster, simpler and transparent processing.

This follows the resumption of KCAA’s Personnel Licensing (PEL) services after the completion of a system upgrade aimed at improving efficiency and transparency.

In a statement issued by Director General Emile N. Arao, KCAA confirmed that the new online PEL application platform is now live and accessible through the government’s eCitizen portal.

“Applicants can access the system via eCitizen platform,” said Arao, adding that “all new and pending PEL applications [must] be submitted exclusively through the online platform.”

According to the authority, the revamped system is designed to provide a simplified, faster and more transparent application process, allowing stakeholders to apply from anywhere at any time.

“The new system has been developed to deliver a simplified, faster, and more transparent application experience, enabling stakeholders to apply from anywhere, at any time,” the statement read.

All application processing will now be conducted online. However, Arao noted that in cases where physical document verification is required, applicants will be notified by the system.

The authority has also urged applicants who may encounter challenges on the platform to seek assistance through its official website or customer support channels.
