Bolt Introduces Real-Time Flight Tracking for Smoother Airport Pickups

Ride-hailing platform Bolt has launched a new Flight Tracking feature aimed at offering users a more seamless and reliable airport pickup experience, even amid flight delays and last-minute schedule changes.

The feature allows users to enter their flight number while scheduling an airport ride, enabling the app to automatically adjust the pickup time based on the flight’s real-time arrival status.

This innovation is set to eliminate common frustrations such as last-minute rescheduling, long wait times, or unexpected extra costs.

“Our latest feature is designed to ensure stress-free airport pickups because the last thing anyone wants after a long trip is more time waiting at the airport,” Bolt said in a statement.

To use the feature, passengers simply open the Bolt app, tap ‘Schedule’, set an airport as the pickup location, and add their flight details. The app will then sync the ride with the actual landing time of the flight.

Users can also customize their pickup delay to accommodate time needed for luggage collection or customs checks. The default delay is set to 20 minutes after landing, though riders can adjust it as needed..

The company says the Flight Tracking feature will be rolled out across major cities in phases, with an initial focus on international airport hubs.
