Kenya Power announces eight counties set to encounter power interference on Tuesday date 11 of June 2024.
The power company said interferences will happen at different times somewhere in the range of 8am and 5pm.
The utility firm expressed that the arranged power interference is set to take into account power upgrade.
Regions to be impacted are Kiambu, Nyeri, Murang’a, Uasin Gishu, Busia, Kisii, Homabay and Kitui.
Regions in Kiambu to have power interferences incorporate Bada Homes, Mahiga Homes, Kimunyu Secondary School, Gate way Place, Babylon Hotel, Karunguru East, Riverside East Gathigia Town, Croton East and Muthaite East.
Others are Marram East, Brookeview East, Crop East, Morris Wagacha Farmsurey farm, Iganjo Ranch, Presidential Escort camp kays , Daykio East, Ruera East, Nando East and Theta Country Farm.
Still within Kiambu, areas around Nduuri Market, KCC Runyenjes, Runyenjes Town, Moi Mbiruri High School, Kagaari Market, Kangunu C/Fact, Kangondu, Gichehe, Gichera and Spring Valley will also experience the power interruption.
Power in Kiambu will be interupted from 8am to 5pm.
In Nyeri county, areas to be affected include Tetu, Nyewasco Kamakwa, Kamuyu, Kagunduini, Muthuani, Githakwa, Kwa Joma, Kiandere, Kiamwathi from 9am to 5pm.
Customers within Kagwathi, Tetu Technical, Githakwa Sec, Classic, Ciaraini, Gitathini, XT Xaviour Academy, Kiriti Sec and Upper Gachuiro areas will also be affected.
Parts of Murang’a to experience the power interruption include Gatitu, Gathuri, Karugia, Majuu, Gaichanjiru, Kagunduini, Gakira, Kariua, Githima, Kandiri, Kahariro, Turuturu, Kariaini, Nguku, Mathareini, Kenyoho, Githunguri and Kabati.
The blackout will be affected from 8am to 9pm in Murang’a.
Regions in Uasin Gishu that will be impacted are the entire of Moi University Main Campus, Talai East, Moi Primary, Chebaiywo, Tulop Village and nearby clients.
The power cuts will be affected from 9am to 4pm in Uasin Gishu County.
In Busia, localities to affected are Lwero Village, Amerikwai, Mapenzi Road, Limara, Aget, Emuria FM, Angorom, Alupe Market, Alupe Hospital, KEMRI, KEFRI, Alupe University, Amongura, Adungosi Police and Asing’ee.
Other areas are Machakusi, Amukura, Malaba Town, KRA OSBP, Cereal, Amagoro, KPLC Offices, Shell, Kakapel, Awatta, Kamuriai, Angurai, Kolanya, Kaeset, Kajei, Akudiet, Ikapolok, Jairo’s, Osere City, Kakalet and Akichelesit.
This interuption will occur between 9am to 5pm in Busia.
Parts of Kisii to experience power interruption are Emboga, CITAM, Kisii Garage, Botori, Marshpark, Bosongo Hospital, Junction, Tosha and Lepremier.
Residsents of Kisii in the affected areas will face the interuption between 7.20am and 1.20pm.
In Homa Bay, power cuts will be effected from 9am to 4pm in Ndisi, Ndhisi SDA, Kome and Kodumba.
Parts of Kitui will also experience the same interuption at Kwa Vonza, Ku, Seku University, Kyusiani, Kauwongo, Kwa Kilui and Muselele from 9am to 5pm.
