Female football coach Jackline Juma has made history in Kenyan football for being the first female to coach an FKF premier league team.
Her appointment as the head coach of Talanta FC for 2024 Season begining on 24 of August sets a milestone for her and the Kenyan football history.
As highlated in the FKF official website, Jackline promotion have been attributed to her dedication, love and respect of Kenyan football. Her previous success and triumph speaks loud
“Jackline’s journey to this historic appointment is a testament to her dedication and expertise in the sport. As a CAF A licensed coach, she has garnered extensive experience with clubs such as Acakoro, Gor Mahia Queens, and the U15 girls national team” the statement read.
“She is also a CAF Elite coach educator garnering international recognition for her work in football. Her rise to the top reflects the hard work and commitment she has shown throughout her career.” further read the statement.
It’s a huge advancement for FKF as a body as well in terms of balancing gender equation in terms of sports and culture in our country.
This will go a long way to boost the morale of young female to step up and take more of such spaces that provide opportunities for them.
