The Imfuyo Foundation has donated 35 bags of dairy goat concentrate to members of the Muthegi Agricultural Development Forum in Kagio, Kirinyaga County, in a bid to strengthen dairy goat milk production as farmers transition from subsistence farming to commercial supply.
The initiative, carried out on February 11, 2026, was informed by the need to increase both the quantity and quality of milk production among farmers who have recently begun supplying dairy goat milk commercially.

The event brought together key players in the dairy goat value chain, including representatives from Billy’s Goat Milk, NeuAfrik Microfinance, the Kenya Dairy Board, the Kirinyaga County Social Welfare office, and Imfuyo Foundation.

The programme was designed not only to provide farmers with quality dairy goat meal but also to enhance their knowledge of proper feeding practices.
Members of the Muthegi Agricultural Development Forum cited maintaining goats that consistently produce high volumes of quality milk as one of their main challenges.
Representatives from the Kenya Dairy Board emphasized that adequate feeding, including the correct balance of minerals, is essential for sustainable milk yields.
Speaking during the event, Warren Machini, Commercial Lead at Imfuyo, said the initiative was meant to support farmers who had completed the foundation’s training programme.
“We want to support local farmers to increase dairy goat milk production to the point of reliable offtake. Through our partnerships across the goat milk value chain, we encourage farmers to improve both genetics and feeding practices. Access to good-quality concentrate plays a key role in increasing milk production,” he said.

The success of the event was attributed to collaboration between the Imfuyo Foundation and its partners. A county social welfare officer attended to facilitate the fast-tracking of the Muthegi Agricultural Development Forum’s registration as a formalized group.
Felistus Nyaosi from NeuAfrik described the initiative as timely and expressed interest in continued collaboration to support farmers.
Representatives from Billy’s Goat Milk, Samuel and George, conducted a practical training session covering feed usage, milk quality testing, and disease management.
