Harambee Starlets showcased their prowess as they clinched victory against Cameroon, securing their spot in the second round of the 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers. The match ended in a penalty shootout that saw the Kenyan national women’s team lead 4-3.

Annedy Kundu the goal keeper played a pivotal role by saving a crucial penalty, Kundu’s heroic efforts were matched by Sheryl Angachi, who coolly stepped up to convert the winning penalty, sealing their win to the second round.

Harambee Starlets are set to face either Gabon or Botswana in the second round of the qualifiers, scheduled to take place between November 27 and December 5, 2023.
