Gulf Air marked its 75th anniversary with a nostalgic flypast at this year’s race, adding a touch of aviation history to the thrilling sports event.
Gulf Air is a Bahrain’s national airline and the long-standing title sponsor of the FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX.
The Flypast showcased Gulf Air’s flagship Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, a state-of-the-art aircraft that reflects the airline’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

The Airline said that the event served as a powerful tribute to Gulf Air’s role as a cornerstone of the aviation industry in the region and Bahrain’s prominent position on the global motorsport stage.
More than just an operational highlight, the flypast symbolized decades of partnership and progress between Gulf Air and Formula 1.
“Gulf Air has been the proud title sponsor of the FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX since its inception in 2004, playing a key role in supporting Bahrain’s position as a global hub for world-class events,” read part of the statement.

The airline said it extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Kingdom’s leadership for the continued success of this prestigious sports event.
“Through the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the commendable efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Kingdom’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain has solidified its position as a leading player in the international sports arena,” the Airline said.
Further, the Airline said that this year’s flypast celebrated Gulf Air’s remarkable 75-year journey and symbolized a bright future – not only for the airline, but also for Formula 1 and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“It served not just as a tribute to the past, but as a promise for the future; one defined by innovation, connectivity, and continued growth,” Airline said.
