The Football Kenya Federation, FKF Premier League is set to kick off on the 24th of August for the 2024/25 season.
With the excitement and anticipation building among the FKF Premier League much is expected to unfold in the new season.
Promoted teams
Two teams were promoted to premier league this season from the National Super League. Mathare FC is making a comeback after a long stay at the Super League, while Mara FC is making it’s debut in the FKF Premier League.

Mathare FC will face AFC leopards for their first match at Dandora stadium, Ingwe had a good run in KPL with records sighting them as the second most title holders after Gor Mahia.
This will be a good test and challenge for Mathare FC who are yet to prove it’s fans that they deserve being on the league.
On the other hand Mara FC will be welcomed and hosted by Kakamega homeboyz at Awendo stadium, this will be a big moment for Mara FC as Kakamaga has proven itself to be a giant football club in Kenya.
Opening match day
Opening match is always an exciting game, this season Tusker will be hosting Sofapaka FC in the first match of the season.
KCB will be hosting Kariobangi sharks whereas Posta Rangers will take on Bandari FC.

Ulinzi Stars will play against Murang’a seals while Bidco Fc will take on the peoples favorite Shabana FC and this promises to be a good Match week 1 for Kenyan football lovers.
End of season
The 2024/25 season will see it’s final match on June 22 of 2025, clubs; Bandari vs Posta Rangers, Nairobi City Stars vs Mathare United, Sofapaka vs Bidco United, Muranga Seal vs FC Talanta, Kakamega Homeboyz vs Tusker, AFC Leopards vs KCB, Gor Mahia vs Kenya Police, Shabana vs Ulinzi Stars, and Kariobangi Sharks vs Mara Sugar
