NAIROBI, KENYA NOVEMBER 22 – The Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) Equity program has been launched. The program is supported by USAID-UNICEF Kenya implemented in Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo.
According to Council of Governors, the programme is a health system-strengthening program that aims at improving Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent health outcomes.
Speaking during the meeting, Garrisa Gorvenor Nathif Jama underscored the substantial investments made by the Counties in fortifying health services, including enhancements to security systems. He emphasized that these efforts should not hinder external support.

He urged the partners to contribute to the implementation of the Community Health Services Program, particularly through the training of community health promoters.
The counties committed to support the implementation of the 3-year program spanning from October 2023 – September 2026.
