NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 26-Stationery manufacturer Epson has appointed Boris Manev as its new Corporate Sustainability Director.
Boris joined Epson in 2011 as an environmental specialist and in 2018 and would later be appointed Head of Sustainability and Government Affairs for Epson EMEAR.

While reacting to his appointment, he maintained that he intends to scale up the organization’s sustainability and decarbonization program aimed at achieving carbon negative and becoming underground resource free in line with its corporate mid-term strategy and 2050 environmental vision and commitments.
“We have a wonderful, dedicated, passionate and highly qualified sustainability team at Epson and I look forward to harnessing our combined skills as we work together to deliver more sustainable technology that improves the quality of lives in the communities and societies we serve across Europe. I am especially keen to demonstrate how profit and sustainability can be mutually inclusive and short-term economics can be aligned to support longer term sustainability goals through integration of sustainability in corporate business models and programs,” he said.
He boasts a degree in International Economics and International Communications from the American University of Paris and a MSC in Environment and Resource Management from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
