NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 30-Willis Raburu has resigned as the chair of the Nairobi festival committee thanking the governor for the opportunity terming it as an honor to work alongside the Nairobi Governor and his administration.
“This morning I have officially informed the leadership of the county that I will no longer be serving in my current capacity as chair of the Nairobi Festival Committee. It has been an honor to work alongside Governor Sakaja and his administration, and I would like to express my deep gratitude for the trust and opportunity that they have extended to me during my time here,” Said Raburu in his statement today.
His resignation from the committee comes after the recognition of the pressing need for systematic change for the effectiveness of service delivery and leadership.
He further states that a more comprehensive look at existing systems is essential for the betterment of service delivered to the county and it’s residents and they have been already instituted.
Raburu said he believes that the right structural adjustment and commitment to positive change will pave way for a brighter future and hopes that his resignation will serve as a booster for the necessary transformation of the county and that he will continue supporting the county from a different point towards the betterment of the community.
“I remain dedicated to supporting the county from a different vantage point and will continue to work towards the betterment of our community,” he added in his statement.
