JEDCA SPORTS JAN 12 – Jadon Sancho has completed his move to Borrusia Dortmund after a fallout with Manchester United. Dortmund have confirmed the signing of the 23-year-old English Winger on loan for the rest 2023/24 season.

Sancho had for long been kept out of United’s squad following a fallout with United Manager Erick Ten Hag. In United, Sancho had been forced to train alone after refusing to apologize to Ten Hag.

Sancho’s woes at United began after Ten Hag left out Sancho in a 3-1 loss to Arsenal in September 2023. Ten Hag had said that the reason why Sancho was not included in the squad was due Sancho’s performance in training.

The former Dortmund player didn’t receive the criticism lying down, he hit back at his boss saying that Ten Hag’s accusations were untrue. The fallout prompted Ten Hag to leave Sancho out of United squad until his exit to Dortmund on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Jadon Sacho shared his happiness for his return to Dortmund saying that he feels like getting back home. Sancho said that he has been close to the fans at Borrusia Dortmund and that he never lost contact with them. He further shared his optimism of helping Dormund to qualify for UEFA Champions League.

“When I came into the dressing room today, it feels like coming home. I know the club inside and out. I have always been very close with fans here and I have never lost contact of those in charge.,” Sancho said.

He added, “I can’t wait to see my teammates again, go out on the pitch, play football with smile in my face, prepare goals, score goals and help qualify for the Champions League.”

Manchester United loaned the winger at a fee of 3 million Euros with additional 3.4 million Euros in ad-ons if Sacho plays Dortmund’s UEFA Games and all other games.

While Sancho performed exceptionally at Dormund before joining United in 2021 for 73 million Euros, the winger failed to shine at United and the situation worsened by his fallout with Ten Hag.
