Slums, ghetto areas, and arid and semi-arid regions share a grim commonality, they often attract individuals who suffer from severe hardships, including inadequate access to clean water, sanitation, and environmental stability, or prolonged drought leading to hunger and disease.

Establishment of NGOs, CBOs, Human rights defenders and such related organizations are meant to elevate or rather eradicate such devastating effects from said areas, along with this selfish gain, self-centered humans come along who’s main vendetta is to gain and build themselves.

What sets aside suchpeople from true organization, is the work that speaks out for itself, where the intended party is taken care of by ensuring that they receive all that which they seek and are unable to get it on their own.

Most often this people who use this opportunity to gain on others vulnerabilities, do it intentionally knowingly or are sociopaths and narcissist who suffer from narcissist personality disorder(NPD) or Antisocial personal disorder (APD).

Their main tool of trade normally is manipulation, with a majority of them full of information of how some of the problems affecting the victims can easily be solved, says the reason why it is easy to fall into their grip.

While sociopaths don’t care about others unless they can benefit them in some way (how can I get them?), narcissists only care about others based on how they portray them. (do they make me look good?) Combination of this two traits gives a person in such of power, control, fame at the expense of other love, admiration, vulnerabilities and needs.

Despite their bad deeds, these people believe that they are exempt from the moral standards that everyone follows, which makes them dangerous.

Can they be treated?

Such people often tend to avoid treatment as they dim it as an insult to their self esteem, the only reason they can come close to that when under stress or when their partners pressure them.

Such people can be given therapy but again it requires a lot of knowledge and understanding since to them they know they are fine and do not have a problem.
