Aldrine Kibet, a rising soccer star from Kenya, has shelved his education ambitions to pursue
soccer dreams in Europe. Kibet, along with his teammate Amos Wanjala, was set to sit for the Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams this year.
Kibet and Wanjala have caught the eye of scouts and coaches from the Nastic Soccer Academy (NSA) in Spain. This opportunity has prompted them to transition into the Spanish education system, where they will not only hone their soccer skills.
Solidarity Boys, their home team, has expressed its support for their decision. In a Facebook update,
they stated, “Aldrine Kibet and his teammate will be joining a high school for two years to finish their
high school education as they pursue their soccer passion within Nastic Soccer Academy.
Kibet and Wanjala’s journey to Spain follows their remarkable performance in the Kenyan Secondary
Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) ball games held at Bukhungu Stadium in August. They led St.
Anthony’s Boys to victory, clinching their sixth national championship title.
Their decision to pursue soccer over formal education is not without its risks, but it’s a testament to
their dedication and belief in their talents. The world will be watching as Aldrine Kibet and Amos
Wanjala embark on this exciting chapter of their soccer journey in Spain.
