NAIROBI, KENYA , NOV 26-The government of Sierra Leone led by the ministry of information and civic education, has announced a nation wide curfew.

According to a public notice issued in Sierra Leone today, the curfew comes after unidentified individuals attempted to break into Wilberforce’s Barracks Military Armory today.

“In the early hours of Sunday November 26th 2023, some unidentified individuals attempted to break into the military armory at Wilberforce Barracks,” stated Chernor A. Bah, Minister of Information and civic education republic of Sierra Leone.

The declared curfew will the effect immediately and it will capacitate the security forces to apprehend the suspects and citizens have been advised to stay indoors.

“To enable the security forces to continue with the process of apprehending the suspects, a nationwide curfew is declared with immediate effect across the country. We strongly advice citizens to stay indoor,” the statement by minister Bah further extrapolated.

Citizens have been advised to follow the ministry of information and civic education channels for updates on the situation.
