Premium users of the digital music provider Spotify will now enjoy personalized DJ features. The feature that launched in the US, Canada and UK is now available in the country as well as 51 other countries across the globe.

Spotify says the new feature is informed by the requests by its users to personalize their music experiences on the platform. “Personalization is at the heart of what we do at Spotify. The beauty of these experiences is our ability to deliver the right piece of music for that exact moment in time, and maybe even connect you with your next favorite artist in the process,“ read a statement from Spotify.

DJ is a personalized AI guide that knows you and your music taste so well that it can choose what to play for you.

”This feature, first rolling out in beta, will deliver a curated lineup of music alongside commentary around the tracks and artists we think you’ll like in a stunningly realistic voice,” adds Spotify.

The Swedish owned streaming giant is currently on an onslaught to woo customers and solidify its listenership  within the region with an apparent soft spot for Kenya. It recently launched a local playlist dubbed ‘Gengetone Fire’ that seeks to incorporate more viewership and listenership amongst Kenya’s gen-z.
