NTSA Unveils Bulk Payment Option via eCitizen for Govt

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has announced the activation of a new feature on the eCitizen platform that allows for bulk payment processing by National and County Government entities.

Through the introduction of e-Agent accounts, government institutions can now streamline their payment processes for various NTSA services.

According to a notice by NTSA, institutions wishing to create an e-Agent account must submit an official request letter addressed to the NTSA Director General.

The letter should include the identification number, registered mobile number, passport-size photo, and official contact details (email and phone) of the designated agent.

Additionally, the institution must provide its own official email address and contact number.

“The Agent may be the officer responsible for transport management or the officer with access to the Agency or Institution’s NTSA service portal,” NTSA clarified in a statement.

The request must be accompanied by a coloured passport photo of the designated agent. Both the letter and photo should be submitted via email to numberplates@ntsa.go.ke.

Once the e-Agent account is created, both the institution and the designated agent will be notified through the official email addresses provided in the request.

NTSA emphasized that the service is free of charge and that the processing timeline is within one working day.

This initiative is part of NTSA’s ongoing efforts to digitize government services and enhance efficiency in public sector operations through the eCitizen platform.
