NCBA Bank opens a new branch in Chwele

NCBA has today opened their 85^th branch in Chwele
market in Bungoma county. Chwele is the second largest market in Kenya after Karatina.

Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka inaugurated the launch of the new branch. Present
in the event were NCBA Group Executive Director David Abwoga and other area leaders.
Speaking during the event, David Abwoga was excited for the opening of the new branch which will serve bank customers in Chwele. He added that they are committed to providing professional financial solutions to their esteemed customers.

With the new branch being the 2^nd branch in Bungoma, this makes Bungoma county the 10^th county to
have more than one NCBA branch. The branch had its operations starting on 28 February 2023. It
began with only 8 staffs and has since then attracted more than 270 customers.

Speaking during the event, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka urged Chwele
residence to embrace the financial services provided. He also said that Bungoma has a huge population and with the bank’s new branch, the residents, businesses and schools will benefit from it. He added that the residents will no longer required to travel for long distances to seek bank services.

“Bungoma boasts a population of close to 2 million people with a density of about 600 persona per
square kilometer. The opening of this second branch, therefore marks the start of financial freedom for
business operators, residents, schools, and other customers who transact large amount of money in the
county and Chwele. Previously, most of them would have to travel Bungoma or use other mobile
financial platforms to satisfy their business needs. Not anymore. Today, I would like to encourage the all
residents of Chwele to take advantage of the financial services that are now accessible through the
opening of this NCBA branch in order to build the economy of our county,” Lusaka said.

With customers needs being a priority, Chwele branch will provide a range of financial products to the
residents. This are savings and current accounts, loans, investment solutions for wholesalers and assets
finance solution for retailers. The mobile banking services will also enable customers to access their
accounts from anywhere at any time.

Abwoga further said that the new branch will facilitate the growth of the town by offering banking products and services.
