East African Breweries (EABL), the organizers of the Walkertown Festival now say they will be issuing a 100 percent refund to affected attendees following disruptions that marred the second day of the much-anticipated EABL event 2024.

In a statement, EABL addressed the delays and cancellations that left festival-goers, artists, and stakeholders disappointed.

“We sincerely apologize to all our valued festival-goers, suppliers, artists, and stakeholders for the disruptions experienced during day two,” read the statement by EABL in part.

According to EABL, unforeseen technical challenges primarily due to weather conditions disrupted performances, including those of headliner Miss Lauryn Hill and brand partner singer Nyashinski.

The organizers cited rain as a major cause, which affected the sound system and led to significant delays.

“We sincerely apologize to all our valued festival-goers, suppliers, artists, and stakeholders for the disruptions experienced during day two,” read the statement.

WalkerTown acknowledged the frustration caused and emphasized its dedication to delivering a high-quality experience. The statement also extended apologies to the artists and partners whose performances were impacted
