Tatu city one of the mixed-smart cities under the Kenyan bucket of vision 2030 goal, aimed at building a technological economy. It is now one of the major cornerstones of Kenya’s digital and technological transformation, fostering innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.

Tatu city has contributed significantly to Kenya’s evolving technological landscape. It is described as hub for technology and innovation which attracts tech companies and startups. This Technopole is designed to attract multinational tech companies, Companies that establish operations in Tatu City not only benefit from its infrastructure but also contribute to the broader Kenyan economy through taxes, job creation, and skill transfer. The more it grows, the more companies and startups thrive within it thus strengthening the economy.

Kenya’s profile technology hub

For years Kenya has fashioned itself as Africa’s tech hub with groundbreaking innovations including the famous Mpesa (mobile money transfer service). Tatu city is focusing on driving innovation and fostering technological culture by utilizing sensors, Internet of Things (IoT) devices and data analytics which have been enhanced to manage transportation and waste management, enabling residents to connect to water and power, which can help reduce waste and make smarter consumption decision which are safer to the environment.

Other technological projects achieved in Tatu urban space include, a warehousing and logistics park with flexible leased spaces, 24/7 power and water supply, high-speed fiber, and security.

With Tatu City having its own internet service, it connects the residents and businesses to the country’s leading national backbone internet fiber.
