Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) to support learners with disabilities through education, mentorship and inclusive programs.

This collaboration enhances the Inuka Scholarship Programme, an education initiative launched in 2017 that supports needy students across the country.

To date, the foundation has supported 745 students with an investment of Sh123.7 million, covering both personal and learning-related needs of the beneficiaries. According to the statement seen by JEDCA Media two students are selected every year from every county.

The MoU will help to formalize a partnership in the areas of recruitment and identification of beneficiaries, education bursaries and other related costs. KPC Managing Director and Foundation Chair Joe Sang said the partnership will enhance the provision of assistive devices and strengthen career and job placement opportunities for persons with disabilities.

“Education remains one of the most effective tools for social transformation, at KPC we believe that when we invest in people we invest in the future of our country together with NCPWD we are building a Kenya where every person regardless of ability has the opportunity to thrive,” Sang said.
