Police in Eldam Ravine have arrested a middle aged woman from Kamasaba village after she was reported to have slashed the legs of four cows belonging to her neighbour.
Eldam Ravine police commander Joseph Ongaya confirmed the incident that happened on Saturday, saying the cows trespassed on the accused’s farm, destroying her maize, which angered her, making her reach for a panga, slashing the cows’ legs.
Two cows lost their hind legs and one died. Neighbours who watched the incident in disbelief were hesitant to stop the woman, who is a widow, for fear she would turn her fury on them.
