The Azimio leader Raila Ondinga has been urged to stop misleading the young Kenyan to participate in the demonstrations rather than engage in a bi-partisan talk with the Kenya kwanza government.

Speaking during a press conference in Nairobi, Samuel Masaki a representative of the UDA national youth chair stated that despite the bipartisan talks, the Azimio side decided to abscond and walk away from the discussion that was tabled for them.

Masaki condemned the act the opposition leader is doing by engaging the youths to be in the forefront destroying properties, lobbying and putting their lives in danger thus halting the economy growth.

He stated that they have mobilized Kenyan who loves peace to continue with their daily activities today and the entire week without fear or favor. He asked the ministries concerned to ensure lives and properties are protected, as much as they are going to have restraints.
He termed the demonstrations as unlawful gatherings indicating that the Azimio had no prior communication to the inspector general of police so that they could be allowed to demonstrate.
This comes after the court declares demonstration as legal to every person as enshrined in the constitution.
However, he added that they are going to file a petition to the international criminal court (ICC) accusing those involved in the lose of lives of youths.
“We are going to file a petition to the international criminal court against those organizers who are causing chaos, destruction of property in the country and failing to guide their protestors,” he stated.

Masaki also noted that the government has agreed to work with youths by engaging them through housing programs and other sectors like agriculture. He further recalled on the past demos that led to destruction of properties both public and private asking the Azimio leaders to consider lives of youth that need to be protected if not they are going to demonstrate in where they leave.
“We can not keep on having older men declare war, but only youth fight losing their lives, injuries and properties destroyed,” Masaki said adding that, “If they will not stop misleading the youths we shall go demonstrate in their homes and ensure they do not drive and go cause chaos.”
