Hamas also kidnapped several Israeli soldiers and civilians including children and are holding them hostage in Gaza.

The war has also seen Israel blockading the entry of essential commodies to Gaza including food and medicine in a attempt to weaken Hamas Group despite the calls for humanitarian organizations pleading the two warring sides to open a humanitarian corridor. Electricity has also been cut off by Israel.

In statement in his X account (formerly twitter), Antony Blinken said that United States will support Israel in the war by equipping them with ammunition to defend themselves.

“In the days ahead, we will continue to stand with our Israeli partners. As I head to Israel, I will be working to ensure they are equipped to defend themselves and making sure any hostile parties know they must not seek to take advantage of the situation,” Blinken wrote in his X post.
