Two people have been crushed to death by a heap of glasses they were offloading in Pangani, Nairobi.
The police and witnesses said that their colleagues tried to rescue them but all their effort were in vain.
The two had been hired to the site to help offload the glass at Ksh1200 each but they did not make it.
Police and management of a warehouse in the Ushirika Refu area said four men had been hired to offload glass panes from a lorry when the incident happened on Monday evening.
Officials termed the incident a tragedy, which will be investigated.
The victims identified as Peter Muiruri, 35 and Jeremiah Wambua, 30 were trapped and crushed by a heavy glass pane out of weight.

Nairobi Regional Police Commander Adamson Bungei confirmed the death of the two loaders, adding that they have commence investigation into the accident.
“Two men who were trying to get bread for their families died in the incident. We are investigating the tragedy,” Bungei said.
The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
Police visited the scene of the incident as part of the probe into the tragedy.
