Two suspects have been arrested by police officers in connection to the disappearance of sh8 million stolen from a Kiambu based businessman. Directorate of criminal investigation (DCI)says that the incident was reported towards the end of last month by businessman’s wife stating that the money was stolen from the safe hidden at the abandoned pump station located at Kinangop, Nyandarua county. “In the incidence reported late last month by the businessman’s wife, the money was stolen from a safe hidden at the abandoned pump station,” DCI stated. The suspects are believed to have gained entry into the building through the roof before helping themselves with the cash after breaking the safe. However, the Police have recovered a total of sh2.5 million from the suspects identified as Moses Cherish and Eliud Wangai. DCI further added that the third suspects David Mushendu is still at on a run while the other two are facing charges of stealing by servant contrary to section 281 of the penal code.
