President William Ruto has named more cabinet nominees bringing ODM members into his cabinet.

ODM chairperson John Mabasi has been appointed to the ministry of National Treasury and Economic Planning, National Assembly minority leader Opiyo Wandayi nominated to the ministry of Energy and Petroleum, former Mombasa government Ali Joho appointed to the ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs and former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya appointed to the ministry of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development.

Ruto also recycled his political friends including Kipchumba Murkomem (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports), Alfred Mutua (Ministry of Labour and Social Protection), Salim Mvurya (Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry), Justin Muturi (ministry of Public Service and Human Capital Development), and Rebecca Miano (Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife).

Ruto named the little known Stella Soi Langat to the Ministry of Gender, Culture, Arts and Heritage. He further said that he will name the remaining nominees.

A section of Kenyans have shared their views with regards to the new appointments, with some applauding while other against it arguing that the president failed to listen to Kenyans.
