Activist Kasmuel Mcoure has denied receiving financial support from high-profile individuals to participate in the anti-government protests that rocked the country three months ago.

Speaking during a live TV show on Friday, September 27, 2024, Kasmuel said he was exercising his democratic right and and was not funded by anyone.

Kasmuel further invited the government institutions to audit his personal life including both his and close allies’ bank accounts.

During these protests Kasmuel were you funded by anyone? The question of funding has always been there,” the host asked.

“The authority claims that there are politicians who are funding this, I am inviting any personal institution to come and audit my personal life. I am willing to provide all my personal bank accounts, am willing even to provide the bank accounts of my family and my ten close friends for an audit,” Kasmuel said.

He went on to ask his fellow activists whom he was with on the frontline during the protest to invite auditors to contact a lifestyle audit.

“I would dare say I extend the same offer to my fellow activists to my fellow people who we were with on the frontline because they will find nothing this is a thing which am hoping they can do by 9 am that we are served and ask us for this audit because they tell us exactly who they are,” he said.

The activist further accused the government of politicizing the conducted anti-government demonstrations to fit a certain political narrative.

They are trying to pin everything to fit a certain political narrative and now we will start seeing them running into circles because this is a very well-arranged script.
