Detectives have arrested 2 suspects linked to robbery with violence in Nairobi, Kiambu, Murang’a and Kajiando counties recovering two firearms.
One of the suspects, Ezekiel Kiarie had been on the run for the past few days where detectives arrested him along Rimuru road ferrying with his family to Dundori, Nyandarua County.
“Detectives intercepted a Mitsubishi canter registration number KAM 231J, that was ferrying the suspect, his family members and their belongings to Nyandarua, after realizing that detectives were closing in on them,” DCI stated.
Upon searching the the vehicle, a Czeska pistol serial number B022944 loaded with 2 rounds of 9mm ammunitions and a CZP-07 pistol serial number C626319 with magazine loaded with 12 rounds of 9mm caliber were discovered. DCI stated that the firearms was linked to various incidents where victims have lost money after making transactions in banks.

The two suspects David Mwangi alias Mzae and Ezekiel Njoki are currently in custody where police are interrogating them in relation to their crimes before being arraigned in court tomorrow.
In another incidence on Monday, NPS officers from the GSU recovered an AK 47 rifle that was loaded with 24 rounds of ammunition at Logingoni grazing field within Sikira in Baragoi, Samburu county.
Police said that it was believed to have been abandoned by suspected raiders who run away after discovering police were on patrol.
