NAIROBI, Kenya Sep 27. The prime suspect in the murder of slain Nairobi Hospital Acting Finance Director Eric Maigo has been arrested.
The suspect who has been on the radar of detectives since last week Thursday was arrested at Olympic Village in the slums of Kibra in an intelligence operation conducted by Directorate of Criminal Investigation(DCI) after information was leaked to the DCI through their hotline number.
The suspect, who detectives established as sixteen years old, is currently being held at Muthaiga police station awaiting interrogation by the detectives. Maigos lifeless body was found last Friday stabbed twenty five times in his residence.
In a CCTV footage produced last week the suspect is seen escaping through a perimeter wall at the residence of the victim at Woodley Estate, the footage helped the detective launch a manhunt for the suspect.
The DCI are yet to establish the motive of the murder of the slain Acting Finance Director at Nairobi Hospital Eric Maigo.
