DCI Offers Reward for Info on Fugitive Collins Khalusha

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has promised cash reward to anyone with Intel that would lead to the arrest of Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, a man suspected of killing, mutilating and dumping nine women at Kware Nairobi.

Khalusha came to the limelight when police arrested him in connection with Kware murders.

“A significant cash reward will be provided to anyone with credible information leading to the suspects arrest, ” the DCI said.

While the DCI has not clarified the exact amount of money offered to the public to smoke out Khalusha, it’s calling out to the public to provide information that will aid apprehension of the alleged serial killer.

Escaping police custody

Khalusha is reported to have escaped the police custody by cutting through a wire mesh roof and scaling the perimeter wall at Gigiri police station together with other 12 Elitreans who were detained.

Eight police officers manning the said police station have been arrested. They are suspected to have aided the escape of Khalusha and the other suspects.

Khalusha is said to have admitted killing 42 women, allegations that he denied when he appeared before Makadara Principle Magistrate Irine Gichobi claiming that police officers tortured him to confess.

The prosecution team sought orders to detain him for 21 more days to complete investigation.
