Bamburi Cement a Lafarge company has appointed Claudia Albertini and Joyce Munene an Executive director and company secretary respectfully. The two were appointed to preserve the cement’s reputation as having one of the most diverse and balanced statutory boards in Kenya’s Construction industry. Speaking during a meeting, Bamburi Cement PLCs Board chairman John Simba stated that he is happy to welcome both saying that they are great impact in the company.

Claudia is an Italian National who has over 26 years experience in finance and accounting who is currently the Holcim Group’s Chief financial officer in Asia middle East Africa region Joyce who is an accomplished Governance, Legal and Compliance professional with broad career expertise in the financial services sector and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, as well as an Independent Corporate Governance Consultant.
She was previously the Senior Legal Manager & Company Secretary at East African Breweries Limited, the Legal Services Manager & Assistant Group Company Secretary at Equity Bank Group, and Legal Officer at United Insurance Company. They join the company at the heart of its repositioning Strategy 2025: “Accelerating Green Growth” – which is aimed to deliver market leadership growth, innovation and sustainable building solutions, solution and product expansion, and superior performance.
